Veena Ravi has been collecting these dolls for 20-25 years and has recreated the underwater city of Dwarka using over 6,000 Dasara figurines at her home in Basavanagudi. "We've been collecting these dolls for two decades. Each year, we choose a new theme to narrate a story from Hindu mythology using the figurines. This year, our focus is on Dwarka, the sacred city believed to have submerged under the Arabian Sea as Lord Krishna departed," she explains. This family tradition has now turned into a local attraction, drawing around 100 visitors daily during Dasara. The preparation for this display starts well in advance, with arrangements beginning in August to ensure every detail is meticulously crafted.
